Let’s explore the changes we’ve made in Tripzzy v1.1.6

New Features

1. Added `TRIPZZY_TRIPS` shortcode to list trips.

We are excited to introduce a powerful new feature in the Tripzzy WordPress plugin: the TRIPZZY_TRIPS shortcode, available in the latest version 1.1.6 of Tripzzy!

We have added the TRIPZZY_TRIPS shortcode, enabling users to easily list trips on any page of their website. This shortcode provides flexibility in displaying trips, and customization based on taxonomies Trip Type, Trip Destination, and featured trips. Additionally, users can choose between grid view or list view, tailoring the presentation to match the desired style of trips.

Key Benefits:

  1. Flexible Trip Listings: The TRIPZZY_TRIPS shortcode allows you to list trips on any page, giving you the freedom to showcase trips where they are most relevant.
  2. Customizable Display: Filter trips by taxonomies like Trip Type and Trip Destination, or highlight Featured Trips, ensuring that the most important trips are presented to your audience.
  3. Multiple View Modes: Choose between grid view or list view to best suit the layout and design of your website, providing a visually appealing presentation of trips.

This new feature in version 1.1.6 empowers you to create dynamic and tailored trip listings across your site, enhancing both functionality and user engagement.

Enhancement:

1. Attributes added for `TRIPZZY_TRIP_SEARCH` shortcode

We are excited to announce the addition of new attributes to the TRIPZZY_TRIP_SEARCH shortcode in the latest version 1.1.6 of the Tripzzy!

With the release of version 1.1.6, the TRIPZZY_TRIP_SEARCH shortcode has been enhanced with new attributes, giving users greater control over the search form’s functionality and appearance. These attributes allow you to customize the search button text and selectively hide specific fields, such as price range, destination, trip type, and trip activities, to better align with your site’s needs.

Key Attributes:

  1. search_text: This attribute allows you to customize the text displayed on the search button, providing the flexibility to match the button text with your site’s language or branding.
    • Example: search_text="Find My Trip"
  2. hide_price: Use this attribute to hide the price range field from the search form, making the form simpler and more focused.
    • Example: hide_price="true"
  3. hide_destination: This attribute allows you to hide the destination field if you don’t want users to filter by destination.
    • Example: hide_destination="true"
  4. hide_trip_type: You can hide the trip type field, which is beneficial if trip type filtering is not required for your search form.
    • Example: hide_trip_type="true"
  5. hide_trip_activities: This attribute enables you to hide the trip activities field, simplifying the search form if activity-based filtering is unnecessary.
    • Example: hide_trip_activities="true"

Key Benefits:

Consistency in Branding: The ability to update the search button text ensures that your search form can seamlessly integrate with your site’s branding and language.

Enhanced Customization: The new attributes provide greater flexibility in customizing the search form, allowing you to tailor it to your specific needs and preferences.

Simplified User Experience: By selectively hiding fields, you can create a more streamlined and user-friendly search form, focusing on the most relevant criteria for your audience.

Tweaks:

1. Optimized render of Ajax request output

We are pleased to announce a significant performance optimization in the Tripzzy WordPress plugin: the rendering of AJAX request output has been optimized in the latest version 1.1.6!

In version 1.1.6 of the Tripzzy plugin, we have implemented an optimization to improve the efficiency of AJAX requests. This enhancement involves removing all variables, including strings and arrays, from the output buffer during AJAX requests. By reducing unnecessary memory usage, this optimization ensures faster processing and a more responsive user experience.

Key Benefits:

Smoother User Experience: Users will benefit from quicker responses and a more seamless experience when interacting with features that rely on AJAX requests.

Reduced Memory Usage: By clearing unnecessary variables from the output buffer, we have significantly reduced memory consumption during AJAX requests, leading to more efficient resource utilization.

Improved Performance: The optimization results in faster processing of AJAX requests, enhancing the overall performance of the Tripzzy plugin.

Fixes:

1. Nonce verification issue if the page is cached

In version 1.1.6 of the Tripzzy plugin, we addressed a critical issue where nonce verification failed on cached pages. This issue triggered verification alerts on archive and trip search result pages, displayed loading indicators for available trip dates on the trip detail page, and caused error messages during inquiry form submissions and all AJAX requests. These improvements ensure secure and reliable interactions across the site, even when pages are cached.

2. Fixed checkout page payment option loading

In version 1.1.6 of the Tripzzy plugin, we fixed an issue on the checkout page where payment options failed to load. Now, the checkout page clearly shows a loading indicator for payment options if no default payment gateway is selected, ensuring a smoother and more intuitive checkout experience for users.

3. Style: Fixed Tripzzy admin bar menu style on the front end

In version 1.1.6 of the Tripzzy plugin, we fixed the style of the Tripzzy admin bar menu on the front end. This update ensures that the admin bar menu displays correctly and consistently, providing a better user experience while managing trips from the front end.

4. Style: The accordion angle down style was changed

In version 1.1.6 of the Tripzzy plugin, we updated the accordion’s angle-down style. This change enhances the visual clarity and consistency of the accordion elements, improving the overall user experience.

5. Style: Search form minor layout fixes

In version 1.1.6 of the Tripzzy plugin, we applied minor layout fixes to the search form. These adjustments refined the border-radius of the range input and corrected label spacing issues, ensuring a more polished and consistent appearance.
